Central Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced that 50 tourist destinations across the country will be developed in collaboration with state governments.

Making announcements related to the tourism sector while presenting the Central budget, the Finance Minister said that the Mudra loan scheme will be extended to hotels in tourist destinations.

Stating that the central government will work with private companies to promote medical tourism under the HEAL IN INDIA scheme, the Finance Minister announced that 50 tourist destinations across the country will be developed in collaboration with state governments.

Stating that visa waivers will be introduced for selected foreign tour groups to attract foreign tourists, the Finance Minister announced that emphasis will be given to developing spiritual and traditional tourist destinations.
