With the help of smartphones, 80 crore Indians have been lifted out of poverty in the last 5 to 6 years, UN General Assembly President Dennis Francis praised.
Speaking at the UN General Assembly, Dennis Francis said that steps are being taken to increase digital services in India.
He also said that the focus on extending banking services to villages is commendable. Dennis Francis pointed to India and said that technology is the basic requirement for the development of a country.
