A woman living with her two daughters after separating from her husband near Thakkalai in Kanyakumari district had gone to work at a nearby rubber factory on the night of the 12th. When she returned in the morning, both her daughters were not at home. Following this, she reported her two daughters, studying in class 8 and 6, who were alone at home, to the Thakkalai police station that they had disappeared. When she said that she was suspicious of her husband, when the Thakkalai police questioned her, she said that after separating from her wife, her wife does not even let her two daughters talk to her and that it has been several months since she saw her children.
The Thakkalai police examined CCTV footage from various areas. The two missing students were seen arriving at a tea shop in the Sungaankadai area on the morning of the 13th on a bike with a young man and then getting off the bike with the young man after drinking tea.

On the 12th, while Ajith Kumar was sitting on a bike in the Thakkalai area, he questioned the two students who were roaming around on bicycles in the area and said that the students had asked him for a lift to take them to the Vadassery bus stand on the bike, so he bought them tea on the way and took them.
In this situation, on Sunday, the cybercrime police, who confirmed that the students’ cell phones were switched on and the number was in use, found that the students were in a lodge near Ambasamudram through tower location. Following this, special police officers who rushed there rescued the students and brought them to the Thakkalai police station. The two girls had planned to go around the town for fun and left their house on the night of the 12th with ten thousand rupees in a bag and clothes. The student said that on the way, lawyer Ajith Kumar stopped them and questioned them, and threatened to hand them over to the police and took them to his office. The 8th grade student told the police that he had locked her sister in the office alone and sexually assaulted her.
The girls told the police that they were then forced to board a bus to Madurai after threatening them.
After getting off at Nellai, 5 people took them in a car and locked them in a lodge in Ambai. An investigation is underway to find out the purpose for which the student was locked up in the lodge. The police are looking for 4 more people.

Police investigation revealed that another woman who was his victim had already stopped Ajith Kumar from getting married to another woman on Sunday. In this situation, the police said that he was caught in a POCSO case for threatening, kidnapping, and sexually assaulting female schoolgirls.
