Bharat Electronics Limited Employee in Bengaluru Arrested for Alleged Espionage for Pakistan

In a major security operation, an Indian national working at Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) in Bengaluru has been arrested by central intelligence agencies on charges of espionage for Pakistan.

The arrest was made as part of a joint operation conducted by state, central, and military intelligence agencies in Karnataka’s capital. The accused has been identified as Deep Raj Chandra, a native of Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, who had moved to Bengaluru for work.

Investigators suspect that Deep Raj Chandra may have been in contact with Pakistani handlers through WhatsApp, Telegram, and other communication platforms. Additionally, it has been discovered that he allegedly exchanged classified information via email.

Along with Deep Raj Chandra, two more individuals have been taken into custody, and an intensive investigation is currently underway to uncover the extent of the espionage network.
