During an event at Maharaja Agrasen Medical College in Hisar, Haryana, Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced that medical education in India is witnessing an unprecedented expansion. He stated, “Earlier, only 51,000 medical seats were available. Now, this number has risen to 1,15,000. Additionally, in the next five years, 85,000 more medical seats will be introduced.”

Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, medical education has seen significant improvements, with the establishment of new government medical colleges and the expansion of existing ones. Discussing political changes in Haryana, Amit Shah alleged that previous governments engaged in corrupt practices while providing government jobs based on caste discrimination. However, he emphasized that under the BJP administration, 80,000 jobs have been given purely based on merit, proving that caste-based politics has no place in the state’s governance.
