BJP state president Annamalai has said that even after four years of DMK coming to power, it is a fraud that Government Order 354 has not been implemented.

The DMK government led by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has always been working in favor of the private sector and against government structures. They can keep saying that they are opposing the National Education Policy so that government school students do not get quality education, and they are opposing NEET so that private medical colleges run by DMK can get income.
In that way, Mr. Stalin is also responsible for ignoring the demand for a salary increase for government doctors working in government hospitals for the fifth year since he came to power.
Most people in Tamil Nadu rely on government hospitals. Government Order 354, issued in 2009 by the late former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and father of the current Chief Minister, Karunanidhi, to provide adequate salaries to government doctors who work tirelessly for the common people, and to consider the welfare of government doctors and the future of the health sector, has not been implemented till date. Mr. Stalin, who personally went to the government doctors’ protest before coming to power and voiced his support, is a fraud that he has not implemented Government Order 354 even after four years of coming to power.
Government doctors are aggrieved that the salaries paid to government doctors in Tamil Nadu are lagging behind by about 15 years and are the lowest in the country. Already, in the last few years, many deaths have occurred in Tamil Nadu without sufficient doctors, nurses and medical staff.
Without sufficient doctors, the workload of doctors is also high. In this situation, the DMK government is neglecting the doctors and destroying the health sector structure of Tamil Nadu for so many years.
During the Corona pandemic, the selfless service of our doctors is also the main reason for the rapid recovery of our country and Tamil Nadu. The service of our doctors should have been recognized as soon as the DMK came to power. But even after four years, the DMK government has not recognized it and has pushed the government doctors to a state of struggle.
It has been 5 years since the death of Dr. Lakshmi Narasimhan, who led the government doctors’ struggle. But her demand has not been fulfilled yet. Moreover, during the Corona pandemic, the wife of government doctor Vivekanandan, who worked selflessly and died as a result, Mrs. Divya Vivekanandan, is being ignored even after the Madras High Court ordered to provide a government job to her.
Mrs. Divya Vivekanandhan has tearfully appealed to Chief Minister Stalin, but the Tamil Nadu government has not heeded. What a huge historical mistake it is for the family of a doctor who laid down his life for the public to be left without government support.
It is not right to continue to deceive government doctors who have been waiting for the implementation of Government Order 354 for more than 15 years. Chief Minister Stalin, who is known for his father’s name in all villages, should immediately implement Government Order 354 issued by his father, and Mrs. Divya Vivekanandhan, the wife of government doctor Mr. Vivekanandhan, who laid down his life while working on the Corona disaster, should immediately be given an appointment order for government service, and all the vacancies of doctors, nurses, and medical staff should be completely filled, Annamalai has stressed on behalf of the Tamil Nadu BJP.
