Shoaib Ibrahim’s Sister Saba Names Her Son Haider, Hopes He Lives Up to the Name’s Noble Meaning

In her recent vlog, Saba revealed that they had shortlisted a few names earlier, eventually choosing the name Haider.

Saba Ibrahim, sister of television actor Shoaib Ibrahim, recently welcomed her baby boy. The arrival comes during a difficult period for the family, as Dipika Kakar is undergoing treatment for liver cancer and recently had surgery. Despite the challenges, Saba’s joyous news brought a wave of happiness to their loved ones.

Saba and her husband Khalid (Sunny) opted for a low-key celebration, expressing that a bigger celebration would take place once Dipika recovers and returns home from surgery.

In their most recent vlog, the couple shared that they had a few names in mind before settling on Haider. Sunny said, “We got these cute custom onesies printed since it’s our baby boy’s first Eid. We really missed bhai and bhabhi today, but we’re hopeful we’ll have many more moments to celebrate as a family.”

Saba added, “We had been praying for a child, and during that time in Maudaha, Sunny had expressed his desire to choose a name that reflects our family’s legacy. We had actually picked out a name for a baby girl, as we were hoping for a daughter. But having a son is equally a blessing. Out of a few shortlisted names, we chose Haider.”

She further shared, “The name holds a divine meaning, and we want our son to live up to the noble qualities that the name represents. Sunny was certain from the beginning that our son should be named Haider. I, too, instantly loved the name.” The couple then invited their viewers and well-wishers to send blessings and join in the joy of their new arrival. Saba also mentioned that when she asked her cousins about the name, everyone agreed that Haider was the perfect choice.

A few days earlier, Saba posted a vlog about her son’s Aqeeqah — a traditional Islamic ceremony performed on the seventh day after a child’s birth. Shoaib, now a proud mamu (maternal uncle), visited briefly to bless the newborn but left soon due to Dipika’s ongoing treatment. In the video, Saba also opened up emotionally about Dipika’s surgery and mentioned that the Aqeeqah took place shortly before Dipika was admitted to the hospital.
