Charu Asopa Responds To Negativity, Says ‘Always Listen To Your Heart’
Life doesn’t always unfold the way we plan, and for television actress Charu Asopa, it led her back to her roots. Following the clip’s circulation, Charu spoke about her decision to leave Mumbai and relocate to her native Bikaner, along with her daughter Ziana. She admitted that the move wasn’t easy, especially since many people discouraged her. Charu recently addressed the matter through a new video on her YouTube channel, where she explained why she decided to trust her inner voice.
“Often in life, we feel very strongly about a particular decision, but people around us try to dissuade us. Even when your heart says it’s the right thing to do, negative opinions can create self-doubt,” said the 37-year-old actress.
“For example, when I was planning to shift to Bikaner, many people told me it was a bad idea. They said I wouldn’t be able to manage and made many negative remarks. But despite all that, I followed my instincts and went ahead with the move. The takeaway is—trust your heart and don’t let other people’s opinions stop you from doing what you believe is right,” she added.
Charu also talked about how her approach to external negativity and drama has evolved. She mentioned that she no longer reacts to everything said about her.
“Your reactions are precious, so don’t waste them on things that don’t deserve your attention,” she explained.
In her video, Charu also urged her followers to lead with kindness. She noted that people who speak negatively about others may be struggling internally.
“Try to be kind even to those who speak ill of you. We often judge those who hurt us, but sometimes, they have gone through difficult experiences that shaped their behaviour. Keep that in mind—stay kind and stay happy,” she advised.
Previously, her ex-husband Rajeev Sen had raised doubts regarding the authenticity of her claims about facing financial hardship. In response, Charu shared a screenshot of his interview on her Instagram Stories, writing, “Wow, that’s beautiful. Whatever I do is always drama for this man.”
Charu and Rajeev tied the knot in 2019. Their daughter, Ziana, was born in 2021. After several ups and downs in their marriage, the couple officially divorced in 2023.
