India’s Envoy Vinay Kwatra Holds Meeting with US Intelligence Chief Tulsi Gabbard
India’s Ambassador to the United States, Vinay Kwatra, met US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard on Sunday and discussed subjects of mutual interest between India and the United States.
“Delighted to meet DNI @TulsiGabbard and her husband Abraham Williams. We had an engaging discussion on various matters of shared interest,” Kwatra posted on X, along with a photograph from the meeting.
Gabbard, a former US Congresswoman and the first Hindu-American to contest for the US presidency, was appointed to the top intelligence post earlier this year. She has been actively interacting with Indian officials since assuming the role.
In March, she undertook a visit to India as part of a regional tour and held talks with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. She also spoke at the Raisina Dialogue, where her comments focused on Indo-Pacific security and democratic partnerships.
Earlier, she had also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his February trip to Washington DC.
