Ashwini Vaishnaw Shares Picture of ‘Made in India’ Shipping Containers from Bhavnagar, Gujarat

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, and MoS Nimuben Bambhaniya visited Aawadkrupa Plastomech company for an inspection.

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, and Minister of State Nimuben Bambhaniya paid a visit to a container manufacturing unit in Bhavnagar district of Gujarat on Saturday.

As per an official statement, Minister Vaishnaw obtained in-depth information regarding the container production activities at Aawadkrupa Plastomech Pvt Ltd, located on the Bhavnagar–Rajkot Road, and also offered valuable suggestions and inputs.

He closely examined the full manufacturing process and the technology being used in container production. He assured the company that the government would extend all necessary assistance to help meet the rising global demand for shipping containers in the coming times.

Following his visit, Vaishnaw took to X to post a picture of the ‘Make in India’ containers being built in Bhavnagar.

His visit holds importance as Bhavnagar is now steadily emerging as a container production hub. The unit, situated in Navagam, Bhavnagar, is presently manufacturing around 15 containers daily based on existing orders.

The Ministry of Railways stated that the company has now developed the infrastructure required to scale up production to 100 containers per day. Vaishnaw was joined by District Collector Dr. Manish Kumar Bansal, District Development Officer Shri Hanul Chaudhary, and Hasmukhbhai Patel from Aawadkrupa Plastomech, among other officials.
