‘Sending Energy and Blessings’: Jayati Bhatia on Dipika Kakar’s Health Crisis
Television actress Dipika Kakar has been diagnosed with a liver tumour, a revelation made by her husband and actor Shoaib Ibrahim in his latest YouTube vlog. The Sasural Simar Ka star’s tumour is reportedly the size of a tennis ball, leaving fans and the television fraternity deeply concerned.
Among those extending prayers and support is actress Jayati Bhatia, Dipika’s former Sasural Simar Ka co-star. Speaking to TellyMasala, Jayati shared that she had personally reached out to both Dipika and Shoaib after learning the news.
“When I woke up, I saw Shoaib’s Instagram story and clicked on the link to his vlog. He looked very distressed, and as I listened, I was shocked. Main ghabra gayi… At first, I didn’t realise who he was talking about, but when he mentioned my Simar, Dipika, and revealed the scans showed a tennis ball-sized tumour in her liver… it’s huge,” Jayati recalled.
Expressing her concern, Jayati added, “I don’t know how she endured the pain for so many days. But I’m relieved they discovered it in time. Shoaib has said that Dipika will be undergoing surgery.”
The veteran actress further said, “I messaged both Dipika and Shoaib instead of calling, as I didn’t want to disturb them. I told them I’m praying for them and sending my energy, good vibes, blessings, and wishes. I know everything will be fine.”
She also shared that both had replied to her message. “Dipika is a good soul who has always wished well for others. I truly believe all will be well.”
On the work front, Jayati Bhatia is best known for her portrayal of Mataji in Sasural Simar Ka and recently appeared as Phatto in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s web series Heeramandi. Her film credits include Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, and she has also been part of web series like Dahaad.
