Ektaa Kapoor Confirms Naagin 7, Says Casting Is Complete
Producer Ektaa Kapoor has confirmed that Naagin 7 is officially in the works and will be hitting television screens soon.
On Thursday, the filmmaker took to Instagram to share a video with her creative team, giving fans an exciting update about the much-awaited supernatural drama. In the candid discussion, Ektaa revealed that the show is currently in production and that the cast has been finalised.
In the clip, she is seen chatting with her team and saying, “We are currently doing research on Naagin 7.” She then asked a team member about the casting, to which they responded, “We have already found, haven’t we?” Ektaa, with a smile, added, “Trust me, we are working very hard… and yes, we have finally finished the casting of Naagin.”
Following her post, speculation about the show’s lead cast gained momentum. Gossip TV reported that Vivian Dsena and Isha Malviya may be roped in as the main leads. If confirmed, this would mark Vivian’s first project after Bigg Boss 18, while Isha was last seen in Lovely Lolla, produced by Ravie Dubey and Sargun Mehta’s banner Dreamiyata Dramaa.
Last month, when Isha was asked by paparazzi if she would be leading Naagin 7, she playfully replied, “You want me to be there. You never know. I don’t know. Anything can happen! If you want me as Naagin, please go and text Ektaa Ma’am.”
Since its debut season featuring Mouni Roy, Naagin has been one of television’s most popular shows. Over the years, it has seen actors like Anita Hassanandani, Adaa Khan, Surbhi Jyoti, and Nia Sharma step into the role of the ‘Ichaadaari Naagin’. The last season starred Tejasswi Prakash, Simba Nagpal, and Pratik Sehajpal in the lead roles.
