In Punjab and Haryana, sectarian Wrestling has erupted in Congress.
Clashes have erupted in the Punjab State Congress between Chief Minister Amarinder Singh and former minister Sidhu. Top leaders did not compromise. Meanwhile, in Punjab’s neighboring state of Haryana, sectarian strife has erupted in Congress. The state Congress leader Kumari Selja and former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda have clashed.
Kumari Selja wants to appoint her supporters as district congress executives. To this, the Hooda faction has protested. Five MLAs from the Hooda faction met Congress general secretary KC Venugopal in Delhi. They urged Venugopal to ‘ask the party leadership for our views before appointing district administrators’.
