Police have arrested five people for launching a fake website in the name of the Ram Temple being built in Ayodhya and defrauding people in the name of donations.
Police in Uttar Pradesh have launched an operation to find a fake website in the name of Ram Temple. The culprits were arrested during a joint search conducted by Noida Cyber Police and Lucknow Cyber Crime Police.
The Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Foundation has launched a website called Ayodhya, in which those who wish to make a donation to the temple by registering a bank account number can send money to this bank account. According to the police, they have received millions of rupees from people who wanted to send donations to the Ram Temple.
Three of them are from Amethi and 2 are from Bihar. It is learned that all of them were staying together in New Delhi’s Ashok Nagar in East Delhi and were involved in the scam.
