With the onset of monsoon across the country, heavy rains in Maharashtra over the past one week have led to flash floods in major cities, including Mumbai.
In this context, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday held consultations in Delhi on precautionary measures to be taken during the monsoon.
The meeting was attended by officials from the Union Home Ministry, the Director of Disaster Management and the Director of the Meteorological Center.
