BJP state president Annamalai has said that the families of those who died after drinking adulterated liquor will be given a relief of Rs 1 lakh each.
The death of 39 people in Kallakurichi Karunapuram who were receiving treatment after buying adulterated liquor has caused a lot of shocks across Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile, BJP State President Annamalai personally met the families of those who died after drinking adulterated liquor in Kallakurichi and offered condolences. Then the victims cried out to Annamalai and expressed their grief.
Later speaking to the media, Annamalai said that the families of those who lost their lives due to adulterated liquor will be given a relief of Rs 1 lakh each on behalf of the BJP and the central government’s welfare assistance. He also said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah had asked him about the death toll issue.
He also alleged that the Tamil Nadu government is sleeping till the sale of bootleg adulterated liquor takes place in the heart of the district capital.
