Vande Bharat special train between Chennai – Nagercoil… This announcement of Railways… passengers are shocked….!

The railway administration has announced a special Vande Bharat train between Chennai and Nagercoil for passengers to travel without crowding. While this announcement of the railway has given happiness to the people of the southern district, the passengers have expressed dissatisfaction that they are being charged more than usual.

To improve the travel comfort of train passengers, the Railways has introduced Vande Bharat trains with luxury facilities similar to airplanes. This Vande Bharat train, which was introduced in the year 2019, is being introduced on various routes.

Chennai – Nagercoil: Currently more than 55 Vande Bharat trains are running to various cities across the country. Due to modern technology, additional facilities for passengers, safety facilities, air conditioning, speed etc., passengers like to travel in these Vande Bharat trains.

In Tamil Nadu, Vande Bharat trains are running on Chennai – Coimbatore, Chennai – Nellai, Chennai – Mysore, Coimbatore – Bangalore routes. In this case, for the past few months, a special Vande Bharat train has been running between Chennai Egmore and Nagercoil as a weekly train. In this situation, the Vande Bharat train service has been extended to avoid crowding for the convenience of passengers.

Special Vande Bharat: Train no. Southern Railway has announced that 06067/06068 Chennai Egmore – Nagercoil – Chennai Egmore 4 days a week special Vande Bharat train service will be operated till 21st July. According to the notification issued by the Railways, this train will depart from Chennai Egmore at 5 am and reach Nagercoil at 1.50 pm on the coming dates 11, 12, 13, 14, 18, 19, 20, 21.

Passenger relief: On the same dates, this train will depart Nagercoil at 2.20 pm and reach Chennai Egmore at 11 pm. Passengers are relieved as these Vande Bharat trains are running on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Fare only extra: Chennai to Nagercoil Vande Bharat train charges Rs 1,605 for AC seat car and Rs 3,025 for executive seat car. However, passengers have alleged that the Vande Bharat train is being charged extra.

That is, while Chennai – Nellai Vande Bharat train charges Rs 858 to reach Madhuvar, Chennai – Nagercoil Vande Bharat special train charges Rs 1086. Both the trains have the same facilities and travel on the same route. But the fact that only the fare has been fixed additionally has given a shock to the passengers.
