In the last 32 months in Jammu and Kashmir, 48 soldiers of our army have lost their lives in continuous terrorist attacks. In April-May last year, 10 soldiers lost their lives in terrorist attacks.
4 soldiers died in an encounter with terrorists last night in Kashmir’s Doda.
Peace had returned to Jammu and Kashmir for a while. But in recent times terrorists have been carrying out continuous attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. Terrorists have carried out more than 10 attacks in the last 78 days.
Details of major terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir during the first 32 months of 2021:
2021 December: 4 soldiers killed in terrorist attacks.
2022 May: 4 killed in terrorist attack on pilgrim bus in Katra.
2023 April-May: 10 soldiers killed in two separate attacks.
2023 November: 5 soldiers including 2 captains martyred in terrorist attacks.
2023 December 21: 4 soldiers killed in Kashmir terrorist attacks.
2024 May 4: An airman martyred in a terrorist attack in Poonch district. 5 soldiers were seriously injured.
2024 June 9: 9 people were killed when terrorists targeted a bus carrying pilgrims. 33 people were seriously injured.
2024 June 11, 12: 6 soldiers martyred in twin terrorist attacks.
2024 July 8: Terrorists stonewalled army vehicles in Kathua district. 5 soldiers died in this.
2024 July 16: 4 soldiers killed in an encounter with terrorists in Toda district.
