With the help of NASA, ISRO has released an accurate map of the Ram Bridge. Let’s see in detail how this is possible.
The Ramayana says that the bridge was built for Rama to go to Sri Lanka to rescue Sita from Ravana. It is known by various names like Rama Bridge, Ram Sethu, Adam Bridge. Many studies have been done about it in the past.
In this case, ISRO has released a detailed map of the Ram Bridge. This map was created with the help of NASA, the American space agency.
That means the laser on NASA’s ICESat-2 satellite is capable of penetrating the ocean’s shallows with photons, or photons, to image any underwater structure. Through that 6 years of data has been collected and a map of Rama Bridge has been created.
A study conducted by researchers from Jodhpur and Hyderabad of the Indian Space Agency’s National Center for Telemetry revealed that 99.98 percent of the Ram Bridge was submerged in shallow and very shallow water. Especially the 29 km. The map says that the long Rama Bridge is 8 meters below the sea level.
Rama Bridge is located from Dhanushkodi, southeast of Rameswaram to Sri Lanka’s Mannar Island. Also, 11 narrow channels of 2 to 3 meters depth have been found between Gulf of Mannar and Bagh Strait.
As the bridge is at a very shallow place, it is not possible to explore the area by ship. According to researchers, there are records in the Rameswaram temple that the bridge was above water till 1480 AD and was submerged during a storm.
