The Karur court has ordered former minister MR Vijayabaskar to be remanded in judicial custody till the 31st.
On the complaint filed by Prakash against ex-minister M.R. Vijayabaskar, who was arrested by the CBCID police in a property fraud case and lodged in the Trichy central jail, the police of Karur district, Wangal police station arrested him yesterday in a case already registered under six sections including death threats and smuggling.
MR Vijayabaskar, who has already been arrested by the CBCID police and lodged in Trichy Central Jail, is in 15-day judicial custody.
In this situation MR Vijayabaskar was produced in the Karur fast track court in the Wangal police station case. Judge Mahesh ordered him to be remanded in judicial custody till the 31st. After that MR Vijayabaskar was taken back to Trichy Central Jail.
