Prime Minister Lacson congratulated Prime Minister Modi on his re-election following the general elections held in India.
Noting that India-New Zealand relations are founded on shared democratic values and close people-to-people ties, the two leaders reiterated their determination to take bilateral cooperation to new heights in the coming years.
Highlighting the momentum created by the recent high-level contacts between the two sides, they agreed to advance mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation in various fields including trade, economic cooperation, animal husbandry, pharmaceuticals, education and space.
PM Modi thanked Prime Minister Lacson for looking after the interests of people of Indian origin in New Zealand. Prime Minister Lacson assured that efforts for their safety and well-being would continue.
