Central Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has said that 26 thousand crore rupees have been allocated in the central budget for the road development projects of Bihar state.

Central Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the central government will create Purvodaya scheme for all kinds of development in the states of Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.

In particular, 11 thousand 500 crore rupees have been allocated as a disaster relief fund for the state of Bihar.

Nirmala Sitharaman also said that a new economic development center will be created from Bihar’s Gaya to Punjab’s Amritsar and airports, medical colleges and sports infrastructure will be developed in Bihar.

He also mentioned in the budget that industrial development in Bihar’s Gaya and road connectivity projects will also be implemented.

According to Nirmala Sitharaman, Rs.26,000 crore will be allocated for the projects of Patna-Purnia Expressway, Buxar-Bagalpur Highway, Bodhgaya-Rajgir-Vaishali-Darbanga Road and an additional two-way bridge over the Ganges River at Buxar.
