PM Modi congratulated Manu Bhakar who won bronze medal in Paris Olympic shooting competition.
The 33rd Olympic Games are being held in Paris, the capital of France. 117 players including 13 Tamil Nadu players and players participated in the competition. Meanwhile, India’s Manu Pakar participated in the women’s 10m air pistol final round. He played well in this and won the bronze medal by finishing 3rd with 221 points and 7 points.
Prime Minister Modi congratulated Manu Bakar who won the medal. In his post on the X site, he said: A historical medal! Congratulations on winning India’s first medal. The win was even more special as she became the first woman to win a medal for India in a shooting event. Prime Minister Modi said that this is an incredible achievement.
Union Minister L. Murugan, BJP State President Annamalai also congratulated Manubakar.
