A Delhi court has rejected the anticipatory bail plea of ex-IAS Officer Pooja Kethkar, embroiled in series of controversies. Pooja Kethkar is said to have fled to Dubai as she is expected to be arrested at any time. A news package about it.
Pooja Kethkar was a trainee IAS officer in Maharashtra. He passed the UPSC examination and joined the service in 2022. Pooja Kethkar was accused of using a siren on her Audi car and affixing a Maharashtra Government sticker when she was the Assistant Collector of Pune District in Maharashtra.
And despite being an IAS by training, there were also many complaints about concessions to senior IAS officers such as a separate office and extra police protection.
Following this, Pooja Ketgar was given a transfer to Washim area. At the same time, another scam by Pooja Kethkar came to light.
Pooja Khetkar, who certified herself as an economically backward OBC, was found to be suffering from vision and mental retardation and joined the IAS under the differently-abled reservation.
Subsequently, Pooja Kethkar was removed from IAS training. In this regard, a one-man committee headed by Manoj Dwivedi, Additional Secretary, Central Personnel and Training Department, was formed and an investigation was conducted.
A letter was sent to Pooja Kethkar by UPSC asking him to give an explanation by July 25 regarding the complaints against Pooja Kethkar. However, following Pooja Kethkar’s request, the deadline was extended by another 5 days. But Pooja Kethkar did not give her explanation
Meanwhile, another startling scam came to light in the investigation of Pooja Kethkar. Pooja Kethkar appeared in the UPSC examination more times than allowed in the examination rules. For this, it was revealed during the investigation that he was selected as an IAS officer after writing the UPSC examination by concealing his identity.
UPSC has immediately canceled Pooja Kethkar’s exam and her selection for IAS post. UPSC has also barred him from appearing in the civil services exam in future.
Pooja Kethkar had filed an anticipatory bail plea in the Patiala court in Delhi as she was involved in many more fraud cases. Delhi court refuses to grant pre-trial bail to Pooja Kethkar.
Additional Judge Devender Kumar Jangala, who heard the case, ordered the Delhi Police to investigate whether anyone from the Central Government Staff Selection Commission helped Pooja Ketkar.
The judge also directed the Delhi Police to investigate who else, like Pooja Kethkar, has received unfair privileges in the reservation for OBCs and differently-abled persons.
In this situation, Pooja Kethkar’s mobile phone is switched off. No one knows where he has been for the past two weeks. Could not contact him.
There are reports that Pooja Kethkar may have fled to Dubai fearing arrest.
