The death toll in the fire accident has risen to 17, the Anakappally District Collector said

More than 80 workers were working today in a pharmaceutical factory in Achuthapuram Special Economic Zone in Anakapalli district of Andhra Pradesh. Then during lunch time, the reactor in the pharmaceutical factory exploded and crashed. Then all the nearby things caught fire.

Anakappally District Collector Vijaya Krishnan said that the death toll has risen to 17 in this sudden fire accident. More than 20 people who were seriously injured in the accident are receiving intensive treatment in hospitals.

In this situation, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has assured that the government will support the families of the workers who died in the accident.
