Indian sportsmen and women have won 20 medals in the Paralympic Games.
The 17th Paralympic Games for the differently abled are underway in Paris, the capital of France. 4,400 sportsmen and women from all over the world have participated in this. 84 male and female players have participated on behalf of India.
Sharad Kumar won the silver medal and Mariyappan Thangavelu the bronze medal in the men’s high jump D63 category final. With this, Indian sportsmen and women have won a total of 20 medals in the Paralympic Games.
