PM Modi meets Iranian President Masood Besashkian to discuss bilateral relations

Prime Minister Modi, who is in Russia, met Iran’s President Masood Besashkian and discussed bilateral relations.

PM Modi arrived in Russia to participate in the 16th BRICS summit. There he met President Vladimir Putin in Kazan. At that time, the Prime Minister told the Russian President that India would fully support the restoration of peace and stability in the region. The two also discussed ending the war in Ukraine.

After that, he met with Iranian President Masoud Besashkian. During this meeting, it is reported that the two discussed matters including mutual cooperation between the two sides.

PM Modi plans to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping today. According to reports, today’s meeting will be important as the two countries have agreed on military patrolling on the India-China border.
