To address the attacks on the Hindu community in Bangladesh and urge international intervention, a memorandum was submitted by the World Hindu Federation at the United Nations office in Sri Lanka.
The protest, led by Vijayabalan, a senior leader of the Sri Lankan RSS, saw participation from members of the World Hindu Federation. Their demonstration was aimed at condemning the ongoing assaults on Hindus in Bangladesh, including attacks on their lives and properties, and advocating for their safety and security as a minority community.
During the protest, participants called on international organizations and the United Nations to take decisive action to safeguard the rights, lives, and properties of Hindus in Bangladesh. They emphasized the need for immediate measures to protect the community from violence and discrimination.
The protesters also urged the United Nations to prepare an international report on the atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh, laying the groundwork for effective intervention and protection mechanisms.
This initiative highlights the global concern for the rights and safety of minority communities and underscores the necessity of collective action to address such pressing issues.
