On the occasion of the 76th Republic Day, the District Collectors hoisted the national flag and paid their respects.
At the Mahatma Gandhi Maidan in Salem, District Collector Brinda Devi hoisted the national flag. Following this, she accepted the parade of the police.
At the Nagapattinam District Sports Hall, District Collector Akash hoisted the national flag and released peace doves. She then accepted the parade of the police. She also distributed welfare assistance worth Rs. 1 crore 9 lakh to the beneficiaries.
At the Ariyalur District Sports Hall, District Collector Rathinasamy hoisted the national flag and paid their respects. Following this, he went in a police vehicle along with District Superintendent of Police Deepak Sivach and accepted the parade of the police. Later, he presented the Chief Minister’s Best Police Medals to 29 policemen.
District Collector Aruna hoisted the national flag at the Pudukkottai Armed Forces Ground and accepted the guard of honour. Following this, she presented certificates to 371 officers and police officers who had performed exceptionally. Tricolour balloons were released during the ceremony.
At the Sivaganga District Collectorate Complex Ground, Collector Asha Ajith hoisted the national flag. She then released tricolour balloons along with District Superintendent of Police Ashish Rawat. Following this, the District Collector accepted the guard of honour from the police and paid homage to the martyrs of the freedom struggle.
