Parents say women are not safe in Chennai… Governor R.N. Ravi is upset…!

Governor R.N. Ravi expressed his anguish that many students told him in tears that their parents were refusing to send them to Chennai to study because it was not safe for them.

The 93rd annual conference of the All India Mothers’ Association was held in Podavur area near Sriperumbudur in Kanchipuram district. More than 500 members of the Mothers’ Association from all over India participated in the conference.

Tamil Nadu Governor R.N. Ravi, who participated as the special guest, inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. Speaking further at the program, Governor R.N. Ravi said that many students who met him during graduation ceremonies had told him in tears that their parents felt that young girls were not safe in Chennai and that is why they were refusing to send them to Chennai to study.

He also said that it was necessary to make Chennai a safe city for all women.
