BJP and Hindu organizations besieged Dravidar Viduthuksha Kazhagam leader Kolathur Mani, who tried to hold a meeting in Coimbatore’s Sivananda Colony to denigrate Hinduism.
It is said that in Coimbatore, Dravidar Viduthuksha Kazhagam members have been continuously holding meetings in a way that denigrates Hinduism. In that regard, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and BJP administrators have filed a petition with the police demanding that permission not be given to Dravidar Viduthuksha Kazhagam, who was to hold a meeting again in Sivananda Colony.
However, permission was given to Dravidar Viduthuksha Kazhagam leader Kolathur Mani to hold a meeting. Therefore, it is said that when Hindu organizations tried to hold a meeting in opposition to it, permission was not given.
In this situation, tension prevailed as members of BJP and Vishwa Hindu Parishad and other organizations besieged Kolathur Mani, who was coming to speak at the meeting. Following this, the police arrested Coimbatore district BJP president Ramesh Kumar, Vishwa Hindu Parishad district president Sivaraj, district secretary Ravindran, and South Tamil Nadu Dharma Yatra in-charge Sivalingam.
