AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi Palaniswami has alleged that there is no safety for girls in government schools and colleges in Tamil Nadu.
In a post on his X page, he expressed his shock and anguish over the news that a 13-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by three government school teachers in Pochampally, Krishnagiri district.
Alleging that there is no safety for girls in government schools and colleges, Edappadi Palaniswami has said that the lack of safety for a government school student in the schools she studies is a grave act of cruelty, and that the Stalin-model DMK government should take full responsibility for this heinous act.
He has criticized the Stalin-model DMK government for continuously pushing Tamil Nadu to a state where women are not safe anywhere and should bow their heads in shame. He has urged Chief Minister Stalin to take responsibility for the injustices being committed against women and publicly declare that he is powerless to ensure women’s safety and apologize to the people.
He has also stressed that strict legal action should be taken against the three people arrested in this case and that they should be given the maximum punishment.
