Tamil Nadu BJP state president Annamalai has said that the news of a 17-year-old girl being gang-raped by 7 students in Coimbatore is shocking.
In a post he posted in this regard, he said that such gang-rapes on girls show that due to the increasing circulation of drugs, youth are turning to animalistic mentality.
The whole country was shaken by Nirbhaya. However, he said that there is a complete lack of safety for women in Tamil Nadu every day, including girls, students, female police officers, and female government officials.
The DMK government has not moved a single finger to prevent drug trafficking or ensure the safety of women, and if the culprit is a DMK member, will Chief Minister Stalin tell him what is the benefit of blaming the victimized women and playing the role of father and brother for vain publicity? Annamalai has questioned.
