Nine individuals involved in a house burglary near Sriperumbudur in Kanchipuram district have been arrested by the police.
On the 9th of this month, burglars broke into the house of Rajesh, a travel agency owner from Malaipattai. They brutally attacked him with knives before fleeing with an 8-sovereign gold chain.
Rajesh, who sustained severe injuries, was admitted to a private hospital for treatment.
Following an investigation, the police traced the suspects to Poonamallee, where they had been hiding. A special team conducted a raid and arrested all nine individuals. They were later produced in court and remanded in judicial custody.
