PMK founder Ramadoss has accused the Tamil Nadu government of opposing the trilingual policy as opportunistic politics.
Releasing a statement on this, he questioned why the Tamil Nadu government did not show the same interest in the development of the Tamil language as it does in opposing Hindi.
Ramadoss, who stated that the mother tongue is the medium of instruction in schools and colleges in all countries of the world, expressed his anguish over the unfortunate situation in which it is only in Tamil Nadu that one can get a degree without studying Tamil or studying in Tamil.
