A tragic incident near Virudhachalam in Cuddalore district has shocked everyone. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin participated in the “Let’s Celebrate Parents” event in Virudhachalam as part of a special government initiative. The event was attended by a large number of people, including government officials and political leaders.
For this occasion, many people from nearby villages were transported in arranged vehicles to witness the event. Among them, residents from Palayapattinam village traveled in a goods vehicle to attend the gathering. After the event concluded, they were on their way back to their village.
While returning, near a village called Kachirayannatham, the goods vehicle carrying these passengers suddenly lost control. As a result, the vehicle overturned on the roadside, causing a severe accident. More than 15 people traveling in the vehicle sustained injuries. Out of them, four people were critically injured and were immediately admitted to a nearby hospital for intensive care.
Among the severely injured, a man named Kuppusamy was undergoing treatment at the hospital. Despite the efforts of the medical team, he succumbed to his injuries and passed away. This heartbreaking news has left his family and relatives in deep sorrow and shock.
The police have initiated an investigation into this incident. Authorities are examining the reasons behind the accident, including the condition of the driver and the safety measures of the vehicle. Additionally, the government is monitoring the situation closely and ensuring necessary medical aid for the injured.
