The Central Home Minister Amit Shah has firmly stated that the number of seats in the southern states including Tamil Nadu will not decrease in the constituency reshuffle.
He spoke while participating in the inauguration ceremony of the BJP office in Coimbatore. At that time, he said that in 2024, the BJP will form the government with an absolute majority for the first time in Odisha.
He pointed out that after many years, the NDA government is in Andhra Pradesh and the BJP has won the Delhi elections. Similarly, he said that the NDA alliance will win in Tamil Nadu.
He also said that it is time for the people to remove the corrupt and anti-national government led by the DMK. He said that an end will be put to communalism and divisiveness.
He said that Prime Minister Modi is making his mark in the states where BJP is ruling and that the credit of installing the scepter decorated with three cenacles in the Parliament, which is considered the temple of democracy, will go to the Prime Minister.
He said that the law and order situation in Tamil Nadu is worse than in other Indian states. He highlighted incidents including Vengai Viyal and sexual assault on women.
He said that even those involved in the 1998 bomb blast incident have a safe environment, and that the rulers are supporting mineral and sand looting in Tamil Nadu.
He said that the DMK is searching for corrupt people and recruiting them into the party, and that the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister are taking up new issues to prevent the government from falling.
He said that the number of seats for southern states including Tamil Nadu will not decrease in the constituency reshuffle, but will increase. Amit Shah also said that the seats will be allocated on a proportional basis.
