More than 30 lakh people from various countries have taken a dip in the world’s largest Hindu festival, the Maha Kumbh Mela, which concluded in Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh. They said that they were happy to participate in the Maha Kumbh Mela.
This year’s Maha Kumbh Mela has been successfully concluded in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, at the confluence of three holy rivers – Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who posted on the X site, said that the ‘Maha Yagam’ of humanity, the great festival of faith, unity and equality and the special time that comes once every twelve years, the Maha Kumbh Mela, was celebrated with great pomp and show, and he thanked Prime Minister Modi for it.
India’s total population is 140 crore. In this situation, more than half of India’s population, more than 65 crore devotees, took a holy dip in the Maha Kumbh Mela.
President Draupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and many other state chief ministers, governors, government officials, film industry celebrities, and leading industrialists have taken holy dips, along with crores of devotees. On the closing day of the Maha Kumbh Mela alone, more than 81 lakh people have taken holy dips.
People from various countries including the United States, Colombia, Chile, Italy, Spain, Brazil and Portugal, Russia, Austria, Mexico, and Nepal have participated in the Maha Kumbh Mela.
On February 1, a foreign delegation of 118 people took holy dips at the Triveni Sangam. It is noteworthy that many foreign ambassadors came with their families.
Diana Alipova, the wife of the Russian ambassador to India, had said that the cleanliness and security of the Maha Kumbh Mela was astonishing. Colombian Ambassador Victor Hugo Echeverri Jaramillo said that he felt a strange power when he saw the large number of devotees immersed in spirituality at the Triveni Sangam.
Lali from California, USA, said how she felt completely comfortable in the midst of the crowd of devotees and that the Maha Kumbh Mela experience was better than anything she had imagined.
Jose, a Spanish devotee who came to the Maha Kumbh Mela with his friends from Spain, Brazil and Portugal, proudly said that he took a holy dip and felt very lucky.
Avigail, a devotee from Austria, said that the Maha Kumbh Mela was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and that she had begun to understand the people and traditions of India.
Christine, who had come from Russia to attend the Maha Kumbh Mela, said that she had seen the real India and the real power of India at the Triveni Sangam. She also said that the divine experience she had at Triveni Sangam was indescribable and that she was amazed by the spiritual spirit of Hindus.
Ana from Mexico, who said that the Maha Kumbh Mela was a symbol of unity, praised the Indians who celebrate everyone and everything with love and devotion and treat foreigners with kindness. Ana also said that being in Prayagraj is sacred and divine and said that she feels blessed now after her Maha Kumbh Mela experience.
