Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a salary hike and bonus for sanitation workers and health workers who performed well at the Maha Kumbh Mela.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced that an additional bonus of Rs 10,000 will be given to sanitation workers who performed well at the Maha Kumbh Mela held in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.

Similarly, he said that health workers will also be provided with a medical insurance of Rs 5 lakh. He further said that this announcement has been made to appreciate the hard work and dedication of sanitation workers and said that the bonus amount will be credited to the bank accounts of the employees from April.

It has also been announced that the salary of sanitation workers has been increased from Rs 11,000 to Rs 16,000.
