Tamil Maanila Congress leader G.K. Vasan has expressed disappointment over the lack of strong announcements in the Tamil Nadu budget to fully implement the election promises.
In a post on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, he criticized the Tamil Nadu government’s budget, stating that it does not contribute significantly to the progress and development of the people of Tamil Nadu. He argued that the budget has failed to meet public expectations and is merely a collection of words without concrete actions.
Furthermore, he pointed out that the budget does not include any significant measures to eliminate corruption and bribery. Instead, he accused the state government of praising itself while shifting the blame onto the central government. He emphasized that the government must introduce effective policies that truly benefit the people; otherwise, it risks losing public trust.
