This panchayat union middle school is operating in Pochampally taluka of Krishnagiri district. 75 girls and 65 boys study here. A 13-year-old girl student who used to study here had not come to school for the past one month. When the girl went straight to her home to inquire about her problem, the details told by the girl to the school headmaster were shocking.
It is learnt that the three teachers working at the school, Arumugam, Chinnaswamy and Prakash, are the ones who sexually assaulted the girl. The girl had also told the headmaster, crying, that she was pregnant and had not come to school for a month because she had had an abortion.
A complaint was immediately filed at the Child Welfare Centre through the headmaster, and the information was also reported to the women’s police station. A detailed investigation conducted by the police revealed the identities of the three masked monsters.
The student, who had gone to school as usual on January 2, had gone to the toilet to relieve herself. However, it is said that the teacher, Arumugam, who was already hiding there, had behaved inappropriately with the student.
It is said that she was threatened that if this matter came to light, her education would be affected, and the police investigation has confirmed that the next day, another teacher, Chinnaswamy, who was in the same toilet, also behaved inappropriately with the girl.
It is also said that before the student who was raped by these two teachers recovered from the impact, another teacher, Prakash, who teaches class 4 in the same school, also threatened and raped the student.
When this incident came to light, all the people in the area surrounded the school and started protesting. The three teachers who had committed the cruel act were also arrested and sent to jail, and they were also suspended.
