The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has condemned the action of the Japanese government on athletes from Corona-affected countries.
The 32nd Olympic Games will be held in Tokyo, Japan from July 23 to August 8. Over 11,000 athletes from 205 countries are expected to participate. This will be followed by the Paralympic Games for the disabled from 24 August to 5 September.
In this context, the organizers of the Tokyo Olympics have imposed various restrictions on athletes from 11 countries, including India, Pakistan and Britain, which are badly affected by Corona in recent days.
The daily corona test will be done from a week before the players of these countries leave for Japan. Upon his arrival in Japan, he would not be able to communicate with other teammates for three days.
Indian Olympic Association President Narinder Bhadra and Secretary Rajeev Mehta jointly issued a statement in this regard.
It said, “Athletes are already allowed to arrive at the Olympic Village five days in advance, of which three days are prohibited from training. Five days before the start of the Games is very important. But ignores them for 5 days.” And Japan does injustice.
Where will the players stay if they are isolated for three days? Where to go and eat This is because all three meals are served at the Olympic Village restaurant. So is it justified to impose such a ban?”
The Olympic Association has said that all Indian athletes will be vaccinated before July 23.
