After Armstrong’s assassination, the bomb was arrested for participating in a roadblock

After the murder of Bahujan Samaj Party President Armstrong, near the Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital near Chennai Central Railway Station, where his body is keptஇ the party members and supporters were blocking the road and after the negotiations with the police failed, the protestors are being arrested with explosives.

Shops in those areas are also closed due to security concerns. Armstrong was murdered at his home in Perampur, Chennai, and his body has been kept for post-mortem at Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital, Chennai.

After that, his supporters started flocking to the hospital since night. As a result, more than 1000 policemen have been mobilized. In this situation, the autopsy on Armstrong’s body was started at 6.30 am today.

After this, the supporters who came to know that the body search was nearing its end suddenly came running from all sides and removed the police barricades and sat on the road and engaged in picketing. Due to this there was heavy traffic on the Poontamalli highway.

Due to this there were long queues of vehicles on both sides. After the police negotiated, they left the road in one direction and sit and picket at another place near the gate of the hospital. Armstrong’s physical examination seems to be over at this point.

The protestors chanted, “Massacre, massacre, green massacre, Tamil Nadu government, Tamil Nadu government, arrest the criminals.” The police should arrest the real culprits who killed Armstrong. His body should be cremated in a public place with state honors. The case should be investigated by CBI. They have also demanded that the intelligence department replace the ATGP.

The supporters have categorically stated that they will not buy the body until these demands are met. Police are still negotiating. However, if they did not agree, the police had called two buses to arrest them. .In this situation, the executives refused to accept the talks held saying that they had conveyed the demands of the Bahujan Samaj Party to the government and they would take a decision. As a result, the supporters were left with no choice but to be arrested by the police and put on buses. Although the protestors have been dispersed, the traffic on the Poontamalli highway has been severely affected. Shops in the area have been closed due to the strike. Police said they were closed for security reasons.

Armstrong (52) hails from Venugopalaswamy Temple Street, Perambur, Chennai. He is a lawyer. He was also the state president of the Bahujan Samaj Party. He has been in charge of the party for about 20 years. He gave interviews to television channels on various election debates. He was currently living with his family in an apartment in Ayanavaram. In this situation, he had gone to Armstrong last night to inspect the work of a newly constructed house on Venugopalaswamy Temple Street in Perambur.

Veeramani (65) and Balaji from Perampur also went with him. Then 6 people came to that area in 3 bikes. Then they suddenly surrounded Armstrong and cut him down. Armstrong, who did not expect this attack, could not escape and fell prey to their murderous frenzy. Veeramani and Balaji stopped those 6 people. But the gang cut them down as well. Armstrong collapsed with serious injuries and was fighting for his life. He was taken to Apollo Hospital where doctors pronounced Armstrong brought dead. Sembiyam police have registered a case and are investigating.
