On the occasion of Kanwar Yatra, pilgrims from the northern states including Bihar and Uttar Pradesh to Haridwar carry holy water from the river Ganga.
This year’s Kanwar Yatra starts tomorrow and continues till August 2. In this situation, the Uttar Pradesh government has ordered the closure of meat shops on the route where devotees carry the Kavadi.
Similarly, non-Hindus are also restricted from keeping restaurants. Accordingly, the restaurant owner is advised to keep his name board on the front of the shop.
