AIADMK has lost its deposit in 7 constituencies in the parliamentary elections.
AIADMK contested in 35 constituencies and got 20.46 percent votes. The party has been relegated to the third position in 11 constituencies and fourth in one constituency.
AIADMK has lost its deposit in 7 constituencies namely South Chennai, Kanyakumari, Puducherry, Theni, Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli and Vellore.
It is noteworthy that after twenty years, the ADMK has no representation in the Lok Sabha.
Similarly, AIADMK candidate Rani secured 5,267 votes and was relegated to the fourth position in the Vilavankode assembly by-election.
