Aishwarya Sharma’s Witty Comeback to ‘Unfollow’ Threats from Pakistan

Television actress Aishwarya Sharma has hit back with a sharp and humorous reply to a section of her Pakistani followers who threatened to unfollow her after she voiced support for Operation Sindoor, the government’s response to the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed the lives of 26 tourists.

Calling the operation both “strong” and “symbolic,” Aishwarya said,

“Operation Sindoor is a strong, symbolic response to the horrors of Pahalgam. It shows that India will act firmly when peace is shattered.”

A few days earlier, she had also posted a video on Instagram apparently mocking those from Pakistan who were upset over her stance. In the caption, she wrote, “Ab to sudhar jaao Pakistan walo… sach mein koi izzat nahi karta.”

Her post sparked a wave of reactions in the comments, with many users — reportedly from Pakistan — expressing disappointment. Several even said they liked her as an actress but might unfollow her due to her recent statements.

Aishwarya, however, responded once again — this time with a playful twist. Using a popular scene from the hit film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, where Deepika Padukone’s character Naina confesses her feelings to Ranbir Kapoor’s Bunny, she added her own caption:

“Pakistani people threatening to unfollow me.”

“Me – Tum samajhte kyu nahi agar tumne mujhe unfollow nahi kiya toh tumhe mujhse pyaar ho jayega – phir se. Aur mujhe nahi hoga phir se.”

She rounded it off with the hashtag #indiandilse.

Aishwarya began her career in 2014 with Code Red, later acting in Sankat Mochan Mahabali Hanumaan. She rose to fame in 2020 with her role as Pakhi in the popular drama Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. After three years, she left the show and went on to participate in Khatron Ke Khiladi, finishing as second runner-up, and later appeared in Bigg Boss 17 alongside her husband, actor Neil Bhatt. She has also featured in the web series Madhuri Talkies.
