An ornament made of flour stone was found during excavations at Vembakottai in Virudhunagar district.
The 3rd phase of excavation work is going on at Vembakottai. A number of rare artefacts were unearthed during the second phase of excavation earlier.
In the ongoing 3rd phase of excavation, a necklace made of flour stone has been found. It is noteworthy that it is green in color with a weight of about 30 mg.
