Ancestral House of Dharmapuram Adheenam’s Founding Guru Donated to the Adheenam in a Special Ceremony

A significant event took place in the presence of the head of the Dharmapuram Adheenam, where the ancestral house of the founding guru was officially donated to the Adheenam.

The Dharmapuram Adheenam, located in the Mayiladuthurai district, is a prominent Saivite monastery established in the 16th century AD. The first Guru Maha Sannidhanam of the Adheenam, Gnanasambandar, was born in Srivilliputhur. His ancestral home, which holds great historical and spiritual significance, has now been formally donated to the Adheenam, marking an important milestone in the history of Saivism.

The event was organized by Engineer Imayavarman Marconi, the President of the Sirkazhi Tamil Sangam. During the ceremony, the ancestral house of the founding guru was purchased and officially handed over to the 27th Guru Maha Sannidhanam of Dharmapuram Adheenam, Sri La Sri Masilamani Desika Gnanasambanda Paramachariyar.

Following the event, the Guru Maha Sannidhanam addressed the media and announced that the ancestral house in Srivilliputhur would soon be fully restored. Additionally, a panchaloha (five-metal) idol of the founding guru would be installed there in honor of his legacy.

Furthermore, he stated that the Adheenam is actively working on establishing a school in the area, which will focus on Saivite teachings and Tamil education. This initiative aims to promote and preserve Tamil heritage and Saivite traditions.

This remarkable event is seen as a major step forward in strengthening the legacy and spiritual service of the Dharmapuram Adheenam.
