The young and talented Anushka Sen has been expanding her global presence, this time turning heads at the esteemed Cannes Film Festival. The actress made her debut at the French Riviera in a royal outfit, appearing elegant and majestic in her couture look. While the event itself was a major milestone for Anushka, another highlight was her meeting with actor Ishaan Khatter.
The Baalveer actress took to her Instagram stories on Monday and uploaded a behind-the-scenes picture from Cannes with her favourite actor. The photo features her posing with Ishaan Khatter, looking cheerful and radiant. “Dreamt and finally met @Ishaankhatter here at Cannes,” she captioned the post.
While Anushka looked stunning in a wine-coloured mermaid-style gown, Ishaan looked stylish as always in a black outfit. The actor was present for the premiere of his latest film, Homebound. Produced by Karan Johar and directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, the film will be screened on May 21 in the festival’s Un Certain Regard section.
Anushka Sen’s meeting with the Bollywood star confirms her fondness for Ishaan. In earlier interviews, Anushka had expressed her admiration for the actor, even joking that she would like to carry Ishaan in her bag and get to know him better. Having previously admitted to having a crush on the actor, Anushka had told Bollywood Hungama, “I’m really eager to work with Ishaan Khatter.”

Speaking of the TV star’s Cannes debut, she made a grand entrance, dressed like royalty in an embellished gown with a long trail. It featured detailed embroidery inspired by vintage chintz prints, along with traditional handwork like zardozi, aari, resham, and fine crystal threadwork.
Anushka revealed that her outfit took 611 hours, months of design planning, and the skill of 34 artisans to complete.
The surprises didn’t stop there—Anushka later showcased her second red carpet look at Cannes, once again combining Indian tradition with modern elegance. Wearing a Duchess Kumari creation, she chose a sheer black blouse with an embroidered bodice, paired with a flowing Chanderi skirt.
Since then, fans have been showering her with appreciation for her eye-catching outfits, also applauding her accomplishments at the young age of 22.
