Apoorva Mukhija on Karan Kundrra’s Exit From The Traitors: “I Was So, So Sad”

Reality show The Traitors, hosted by Karan Johar, launched on Prime Video on June 12 with high tension and unexpected eliminations. One of the earliest and most surprising exits was that of actor Karan Kundrra, who was voted out during a dramatic round table despite later being revealed as innocent.

Apoorva Mukhija, also known as The Rebel Kid, shared her emotions about Karan’s elimination in a video on her YouTube channel. Reflecting on the moment, she said,

“We went back to the circle of doubt, and all of us were convinced that Karan Paaji was a traitor because he wasn’t really talking to anyone. But honestly, he was playing a smart game. Staying quiet is a pretty common strategy—it’s what a lot of traitors on the outside do.”

She continued,

“But in our group, the traitors were very vocal, constantly arguing with each other. That made Karan’s quiet nature seem suspicious, like he was hiding something. But that wasn’t true. When we voted him out, I felt so, so, so, so sad.”

Apoorva went on to praise Karan, calling him the kindest and most genuine person she’s met.

“Before leaving, he gave me a little present and said, ‘I’m so proud of you, kiddo.’ He never took anything personally and stayed respectful throughout. He really is one of the sweetest people I’ve met. That’s when I understood why he has such a big fan following. With some people, you wonder why they have fans—Karan is not one of them.”

About The Traitors

The Traitors debuted with its first three episodes and continues to release new ones every Thursday at 8 PM on Prime Video. The show features 20 celebrities including Anshula Kapoor, Raftaar, Uorfi Javed, Ashish Vidyarthi, Apoorva Mukhija, and others. Set in the luxurious Hotel Suryagarh, Jaisalmer, the series combines mystery, strategy, and deception.

By day, contestants work together to build a prize pot of ₹1 crore. But by night, three secret “traitors” — selected by host Karan Johar — eliminate “innocent” players in secret. Each episode ends with a high-stakes round table discussion where contestants vote to unmask a suspected traitor.

So far, Karan Kundrra, Lakshmi Manchu, Sahil Salathia, and Raj Kundra (who was confirmed as one of the traitors) have been eliminated. As the series continues, tensions are mounting and the game grows ever more intense.
